The fact that the commission is a farce and does not intend to fully investigate the crimes of the previous government is confirmed by the fact that the chairman of the commission dares not ask the victims about the police officers, prosecutors, investigators, judges, and bad people who made the citizens of Georgia miserable," said Levan Gogichaiashvili, one of the leaders of the party "Gakharia for Georgia."
As Gogichaiashvili stated at the briefing, "The time for half-truths is over."
"Recently, we have been witnessing yet another farce by ‘Georgian Dream,’ another falsification, with the involvement of the caricatured so-called investigative commission. This commission was created by an illegitimate parliament, in gross violation of Article 42 of the Constitution. The cynical fact is that ‘Georgian Dream’ included three former 'Natsists' in the commission, specifically: Alexander Tabatadze, who was part of Vano Merabishvili’s repressive police for years; Aluda Gudadashvili, who was the lawyer for New Year's CID head, Irakli Okruashvili; and Tengiz Sharmanashvili, who was appointed ambassador to Armenia in 2011 by Mikheil Saakashvili. Tragically, the chairman of the commission is Tea Tsulukiani, who was disgracefully defeated by Saakashvili’s abusive judges.
The true goal of this commission, delayed by 13 years, is not to bring justice for the crimes of the 'Natsists' but to cover up the falsified elections, prisons full of political prisoners, corruption, violence, the diversion of the country from its European integration path, the permanent appointment of Saakashvili's judges, and the hijacking of state institutions by Ivanishvili. Ivanishvili is trying to reopen old wounds and say, ‘I am a cruel oppressor, but there were worse ones than me in the past.'
That the commission is a farce and does not intend to fully investigate the crimes of the previous government is confirmed by the fact that the chairman of the commission dares not ask the victims about the police officers, prosecutors, investigators, judges, and bad people who made Georgian citizens miserable and continue to serve Ivanishvili's violent regime.
Yes, the people in this country must find justice. Yes, the victims in this country must restore their rights and reclaim their property. Yes, everyone must be held accountable, including those prosecutors and judges who serve Ivanishvili's regime today. We will not allow the commission to tell the public half-truths and protect Bidzina’s ‘Natsists.’ The things the commission has failed to say and dares not say, we will tell the public the full truth.
We will tell the public that Lela Nozadze, the judge who sentenced an innocent person to prison, is a lifelong judge appointed by Ivanishvili. We will tell them that Lasha Kochiashvili, the judge who bankrupted Jemal Leonidze, was appointed by Ivanishvili for life to the Supreme Court. We will tell them that Mzia Lomtatidze, the judge who sent Jemal Leonidze to prison, was appointed by Bidzina for life. We will tell the public the truth that Ketevan Kvinikadze, head of the financial police’s administration, who was active against Georgian businessmen, is now the so-called president’s administration head. The time for half-truths is over, the time for the full truth has come,” said Gogichaiashvili.
