In 2024, 527.5 million GEL was allocated from the state budget for bonuses and supplements, which is a record figure for the last 10 years, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) reports.

According to the organization, among the state-funded institutions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued the largest number of bonuses/supplements in 2024.

“Among the state-funded institutions, the largest share of bonuses/supplements in labor remuneration expenses falls on the courts and the prosecutor's office.

The size of the bonuses/supplements issued is distinguished by institutions such (courts, law enforcement agencies) that are not subject to the restrictions on bonuses and supplements established by law,” reads the information.
