12 days of administrative detention ordered for Gela Khasaia, member of Coalition for Change

The court recognized Gela Khasaia, a member of the Coalition for Change, as an administrative offender.

By the decision of Tbilisi City Court Judge Davit Tetrauli, Khasaia has been sent to 12 days of administrative detention.

Khasaia was detained in the courtroom.

The case concerns an incident that occurred on March 31. He was detained by law enforcement officers before the start of the rally, during which he was being searched.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs accused Khasaia of committing an act provided for in Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which implies disobedience to the police.
