Giorgi Chikvaidze: After my illegal arrest, the Russian regime forced me to make a statement, in which I would lie that the US Embassy forced me to organize pro-European rallies

After my illegal arrest on March 11, the Russian regime forced me to make a statement, in which I would lie, saying that the US Embassy forced me, gave me directives to organize pro-European rallies and carry out other illegal actions, - Giorgi Chikvaidze, accused of embezzlement of a large amount of funds, writes on social networks.
As Chikvaidze notes, the US Embassy has been monitoring the "fabricated and politically motivated case against him" from the very first day.
“A few months later, after they became convinced of the numerous illegal actions taken against us by the Russian regime, in terms of persecution, they decided to send a warning letter to the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office, which the American Embassy will also confirm. In the letter, they noted that they were strictly monitoring our case.
After the arrest, which was carried out illegally on March 11, the Russian regime forced me to make a statement in which I would lie, saying that the American Embassy was forcing me, giving me directives to organize pro-European rallies and carry out other illegal actions.
I would like to emphasize once again that this is a crime against the American state. If the issue of an American investigation is put on the agenda, I am ready to cooperate with their investigative bodies and personally expose the representatives of the fraudulent government who initiated all this.
I want to clearly state once again that my stay in this institution is not safe and I am at risk every day that, on the instructions of the Russian special services, they can carry out my liquidation at any time," Chikvaidze wrote.
