Georgia's fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, met with the opposition. Opposition politicians say that during the meeting, they discussed current issues and the plans of the Resistance Platform.

According to them, among the topics discussed were the repressions, which, according to their statement, affected the head of the Vaso Abashidze Music and Drama Theatre, Davit Doiashvili.

The opposition politicians also state that the meeting did not involve discussions about the 2025 local elections.

“We discussed current issues and the plans of the Resistance Platform. We will offer the public meetings and inform you when there is a specific date. The local elections are not a topic of our discussions,” said Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the “Strong Georgia” coalition, in an interview with Formula TV.

“Today, naturally, we spoke about the theater and repressions. We discussed forms of solidarity support and foreign policy issues. These are current, everyday matters,” said Elene Khoshtaria, one of the leaders of the “Coalition for Change,” in an interview with Formula TV.
