According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to study the current situation in the Korokhnali, Shukruti, Itkhvisi and Darkveti mines, representatives of the Georgian Manganese subsidiary, Chiatura Management Company LLC, together with specialists in the relevant field, will conduct monitoring.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes, part of the employees employed in the mines in the Chiatura municipality are protesting, therefore, in order to maintain law and order and security on the spot, employees of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be mobilized.
“On April 30 of the current year, in order to study the current situation in Korokhnali, Shukruti, Itkhvisi and Darkveti mines located in Chiatura Municipality, representatives of the Georgian Manganese subsidiary -Chiatura Management Company LLC, along with specialists in the relevant field, will conduct monitoring.
As is known to the public, in recent period, some of the employees in the mines in Chiatura Municipality have been expressing protest, therefore, in order to maintain the rule of law and ensure safety, employees of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be mobilized on site.
We call on those expressing protest not to violate the law.
Each fact of violation will be followed by an appropriate legal response from the side of police”, reads the statement.
