This decision is an unfriendly act towards the Georgian people - a government that is a friend of Saakashvili cannot be a friend of the Georgian people, - this is how the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, responded to a question from journalists regarding the non-invitation of Georgia to the informal meeting of foreign ministers in Warsaw.

According to him, the decision of the Polish government is regrettable.

"This meeting is organized by the Polish government. It is the chairing country. The decision of the Polish government is such, which is unfortunate. It shows the wrong attitude of the Polish government towards the Georgian people. This is not the first case. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland believes that Mikheil Saakashvili is a modernizer. Poland has such a government today. This decision is an unfriendly act towards the Georgian people. A government that believes that Mikheil Saakashvili was a modernizer, of course, such an unfriendly step is not surprising.

The Polish government must decide for itself whether it wants to have relations with the Georgian people or whether it wants to support the corrupt, torture-creating Saakashvili regime and its ideology. It turns out that the Polish government does not understand what the candidate status means and puts friendship with Saakashvili above the rules, procedures and interests of the Georgian people," Papuashvili said.
