Salome Zurabishvili on Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement: First of all, I want him to calm down - there will be a lot of us on May 26

First of all, I want him to calm down, - this is how the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who, in his statement made today regarding May 26, warned both Zurabishvili and the opposition to be careful.

According to the fifth President, on May 26, many people will gather without being called to do so.

“First of all, I want him to calm down. We know where we are going to,

we know exactly our orientation and we are not losing it. There will be a lot of us on May 26, many people will gather without being called to do so. Independence Day is the day when we must save our independence, we must tell the whole world and not only ourselves that we are standing where we were six months ago, a year ago, and practically, for 30 years, when there is any threat to Georgia’s independence or European identity. There will be a lot of us, we will return to our path, I am deeply convinced of this,” Salome Zurabishvili said on TV Pirveli.

As a reminder, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that May 26 will take place as it should.

"We have planned appropriate events, in exactly the same format as these events were held last year, the year before, in previous years. Of course, the opposition will not be able to implement their plans, I would tell them to be careful, this is a very clear warning to both Salome Zurabishvili and other "Nationals"," Kobakhidze stated.
