The Ivanishvili-Kobakhidze letter is an open declaration that they want to leave Georgia alone and unprotected - Ivanishvili has already betrayed the Western course of our country, betrayed freedom and the Georgian people, - the leader of the Strategy Builder, Giorgi Vashadze, said in response to the open letter of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, in which he addresses the President of the United States of America Donald Trump and the Vice President of the United States of America J.D. Vance.
According to Vashadze, the aforementioned letter shows that he is dangerous for the country and people.
“The Ivanishvili-Kobakhidze letter is an open declaration that they want to leave Georgia alone and defenseless.
They do not need a developed Georgia with strong partners. They want to return Georgia to the swamp.
This letter once again shows how dangerous are people who are ready to sell the country for power.
Bidzina Ivanishvili has no moral right to speak on behalf of Georgia to our strategic partners and damage the relations built over the years. He has already betrayed the Western course of our country, betrayed freedom and the Georgian people.
We need a free, developed and secure Georgia, which is a full member of the European family. Our plan is to schedule new elections, release prisoners of conscience, quickly bring the country out of isolation, restore ties with Western partners and become a member of the European Union in an accelerated manner.
Let's unite and stand together for Georgia!" - Giorgi Vashadze said.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze sent an open letter to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and Vice President of the United States of America, J.D. Vance. As Kobakhidze notes, he addressed the US with a letter regarding Georgian-American relations several weeks ago, but has not received a response so far.
In his letter, Kobakhidze discusses the sanctions imposed on Georgian government officials and, addressing the US administration, says that it is perplexing that they are harshly criticizing Biden’s decisions, but have not yet reversed any of his criminal decisions.
In addition, according to Kobakhidze, there is a striking alignment of values of the Georgian government and the US administration.
He also spoke about the “deep state”. He hopes that the US administration will actually be able to defeat the “deep state”, “which will undoubtedly affect the reset of Georgian-American relations and the restoration of strategic partnership”.
