Rescuers find car and bodies of two people in Mtkvari River

Rescuers have found a car and the bodies of two people in the Mtkvari River as part of a search and rescue operation.

The Emergency Management Service confirmed this information to InterpressNews.

The rescue operation is still ongoing to find another missing person.

Rescuers found the car this morning as a result of artificially decreasing the water level in the Mtkvari River.

For information, on May 14, at dawn, a car with 4 passengers fell into the Mtkvari River, and rescuers pulled one person out of the water shortly after the accident.

The police also arrested a 23-year-old man, who is accused of the accident.
