According to Transparency International Georgia, the property declaration of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream, is not available on the declarations website.
According to the information released by the organization, Bidzina Ivanishvili has this obligation after the 2024 parliamentary elections due to his short term as an MP.
According to the organization, unlike Bidzina Ivanishvili, the declarations website contains the declaration of Irakli Gharibashvili, who, like Ivanishvili, was required to register his property due to his short term as an MP.
“Oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili had to fill out a property declaration at the end of 2024. This obligation arose due to his being formally a member of parliament for a short time after the elections. The document cannot be found on the declarations website. The Anti-Corruption Bureau did not provide it to us as a result of a public information request either.
For comparison, the declaration of Irakli Gharibashvili, who was also formally a member of parliament for a short time, is available on the website. There is also a possibility that oligarch Ivanishvili did not fill out the declaration at all.
Razden Kuprashvili, who has assumed the role of an executor of civil society repressions, illegally requests personal information of citizens from human rights organizations, while he is exempting Ivanishvili, who ordered this repression, of the obligation clearly stipulated by law to declare property and connections and to make this information public,” reads the information.
