For context, Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of “Lelo – Strong Georgia,” was found guilty by the court of failing to comply with a request from the Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission. Judge Zviad Sharadze sentenced him to eight months in prison and barred him from holding office for two years. Earlier today, the verdict was also announced in the case of Zurab “Girchi” Japaridze, another leader of the “Coalition for Change.” He was sentenced to seven months in prison and also banned from holding office for two years for the same offense.
