Mariam Kvrivishvili appointed Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development

Mariam Kvrivishvili has been appointed Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made the announcement about the relevant change at the briefing held at the government administration.

“Mariam Kvrivishvili will take up the position of Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. You all know her, therefore, she does not need any special introduction. As you know, Mariam Kvrivishvili is a member of the political council of the ruling party. Until now, she held the position of Deputy Minister of Economy, where she led areas such as tourism and aviation with great success. Today, the scope of her activities is expanding and I am sure that she will be as successful in the position of Minister as she was in the leadership of the relevant sectors. I would like to wish Mariam Kvrivishvili success in the position of Minister,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.

As for the incumbent Minister Levan Davitashvili, he will take up the position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister on Economic Issues and Secretary of the Economic Council.

Mariam Kvrivishvili has previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Economy.
