“Ivanishvili is a murderer! He will kill even his own circle! He is crushing our homes, families, and children, and yet some of you still want to sit quietly in the bushes! Raise your voice, or next it will be you!”

This is what Levan Khabeishvili, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, writes on social media, responding to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ report that former Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, was shot and that an investigation has been launched on charges of incitement to suicide.

As Khabeishvili notes, Bidzina Ivanishvili has “turned to killing and slaughtering.”

“Ivanishvili is a murderer! He will kill even his own circle! He is crushing our homes, families, and children, and yet some still want to sit in the bushes! Raise your voice, or next it will be you!

We will fight for you too, we will not retreat — just raise your voice, because he has moved on to killing and slaughtering!” Khabeishvili wrote on social media.

For reference, earlier this morning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the former Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, was admitted to GeoHospitals in Sagarejo with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to the ministry, he received emergency medical treatment. Doctors stated that he has lung damage and his condition is critically stable.

Later, Rizhvadze was transferred from Sagarejo to the First University Clinic in Tbilisi.

According to available information, in connection with Tornike Rizhvadze’s case, Aleksi Akhvlediani has been detained as a suspect for negligent storage of a firearm.
