Irakli Kobakhidze: There is only one reason why our government is being labeled as pro-Russian — we do not act on external orders, we have cleansed all branches of government of foreign agents, we defend our sovereignty, we did not allow LGBT propaganda, and we did not get involved in the war

“The sole reason for labeling our government as pro-Russian is that we do not act on external orders, we have cleansed all branches of government of agents, we protect our sovereignty, we did not allow LGBT propaganda, and we did not get involved in the war,” states Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in a statement published on social media.

According to Kobakhidze, labeling opponents as pro-Russian in various countries is a well-tested tactic of the “deep state.”

He claims that a powerful line of “deep state” propaganda is directed against the founder of the ruling party, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

“The head of U.S. national security, Tulsi Gabbard, has provided evidence confirming that accusations of Russian interference in U.S. elections against Donald Trump were fabricated by Barack Obama. Tulsi Gabbard also stated that the campaign to discredit Trump was orchestrated by the ‘deep state,’ with state structures fully involved in its execution. President Trump personally thanked Tulsi Gabbard for exposing the ‘deep state,’ and he sent the materials to the Justice Department for further action. This issue is currently a subject of active discussion in the American media and public.

Labeling opponents as pro-Russian in various countries is a well-tested tactic of the ‘deep state.’ For this, it uses the media as its most effective tool, which in Europe is almost entirely under the total control and censorship of the ‘deep state.’ Thanks to monopolized media, they can easily create any image for any politician. For example, as soon as the French opposition leader Marine Le Pen’s ratings reached a critical level, she was immediately labeled pro-Russian without any evidence presented to the public. A similar method was used to sideline Romania’s presidential election first-round winner, Călin Georgescu. He was first declared pro-Russian, and later, a court cited suspicions of Russian interference through ‘TikTok’ in the elections, canceling the elections without any evidence. In Moldova, labeling someone as pro-Russian has become the best tool for banning opposition forces through judicial means. No one bothered to present evidence in this case either. For years, the Hungarian government has been fighting similar ‘deep state’ propaganda. Simply because Viktor Orbán’s government pursues its country’s national interests, opposes pseudo-liberal ideology, and stands for peace, he has been branded a pro-Russian politician. Here, too, no one has provided any evidence to this day.

The Georgian public has been witnessing a similar campaign since the day ‘Georgian Dream’ came to power. In this campaign, the ‘deep state’ involves both local radical opposition and NGOs, as well as their foreign patrons, including representatives of European bureaucracy. We are dealing with Goebbels-style propaganda methods, where you first create an enemy image and then attribute connections to it to your opponent. Such propaganda does not require any facts. The main thing is that the propaganda is total, and the message is repeated by as many agents as possible.
