Giorgi Baramidze responds to Irakli Kobakhidze's statement and names facts confirming "Ivanishvili's pro-Russian stance and ties to Russia"

Giorgi Baramidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, cites facts that confirm “Bidzina Ivanishvili’s pro-Russian stance and ties to Russia”.

Baramidze responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s statement about Bidzina Ivanishvili.

“I would like to respond to the strange statement of the so-called Prime Minister of a gang of traitors and criminals, that “where are the facts and documents of Ivanishvili’s cooperation with Russia?!” This strange statement of this person is really very funny, his actions during these 13 years speak of the person’s cooperation with the occupier. This is a person with a Georgian surname, but a Russian oligarch who earned all his billions in Russia. Let’s start with the fact that he accused his homeland of war with Russia, let’s remember how he started his activities after he won the elections with the help of Russian special operations. After taking over power from President Saakashvili, one of the first things he did was to grant the status of political prisoners to Russian spies, in fact, he apologized on behalf of Georgia and released them from prison. It is thanks to this person that the Russians received detailed information about the Tbilisi defense. It is thanks to Ivanishvili, this traitorous Russian, that \ Russians received a complete list of Georgians who fought against Russia in 2008. It is thanks to this traitorous person and his Russian gang of criminals that there is an illegitimate parliament in our country, in which there is some kind of structure in the form of a treason commission, which is supposed to wash Russia's bloody hands, justify Russia's aggression and blame the government of its own country. It is this gang of traitors that recently voted against the call to Syria at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to once again recognize Georgia's territorial integrity and withdraw its so-called recognition of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali, temporarily occupied by Russia," Baramidze said.

At the same time, he said, the "Russian oligarch" is doing everything he can to isolate Georgia from all its true friends.

"What horrors are they talking about, as if the European Union, the USA want to drag Georgia into war, so that there will be no man here and no woman here. Is the European Union not the same as it was 5-10-15 years ago? They know very well that no one asks us for such nonsense and no one forces us, but with its propaganda tools, the Kremlin's propaganda tools, it is trying to deceive whoever it can, and continues to deceive, and is busy with this harm and betrayal of the country. Naturally, for these scoundrels, for representatives of this Russian gang of traitors and criminals, no documents or evidence are of any use, they will call black white and white black. This is exactly the policy that Peskov, Margarita Simonyan and others are imposing. The methods and often the proposals are directly copied, but I believe that the majority of Georgian society, during this time, has clearly understood who we are dealing with," - Baramidze said.

According to him, he believes that regardless of party affiliation the Georgian people will continue their peaceful, non-violent, but principled and consistent struggle and "will definitely defeat this gang of traitors and criminals, led by this Russian oligarch with a Georgian surname."

For information, according to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, there is no evidence to prove Bidzina Ivanishvili's Russian connections.

“A powerful line of "deep state" propaganda is working against the founder of the ruling party, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili. Despite the fact that we have been hearing accusations about Bidzina Ivanishvili's pro-Russianness and Russian connections for all these years, no one has presented even a single fact to the public to prove this," Kobakhidze said.
