What the enemy failed to do in 2008, it succeeded in by massively interfering in the 2012 elections and bringing Ivanishvili to power, - the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, writes on his Facebook page.

As Saakashvili notes, now Russia is trying, through Ivanishvili, to finally make us easily submissive, which, according to him, will not succeed.

They will not succeed!" - Mikheil Saakashvili writes on Facebook.

It has been 17 years since the August war. In the August 2008 Russian-Georgian war, 170 employees of the Georgian Ministry of Defense, 14 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and 224 civilians were killed. The total number of wounded and injured civilians and military personnel is 2,232, including 1,045 military personnel.
