Mikheil Saakashvili: Those who scold the five detained members of the People's Assembly are merely trying to cover up their own cowardice - through the mouths of those who drag people through the mud, Ivanishvili is trying to make you believe that you are not only not a nation, but that you are nobodies

Georgia’s third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, has responded to the detention of Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Paata Manjgaladze, Lasha Beridze, and Paata Burchuladze in connection with the events of October 4.

As Saakashvili wrote on his Facebook page, “Those who scold them are simply trying to hide their own cowardice.”

“Those who criticize the five detained members of the People’s Assembly are trying to cover up their cowardice. They do this because it was precisely these people who had the courage to take steps to save the country. I have experienced such jealousy myself many times.

Through the mouths of those who drag others through the mud, Ivanishvili is trying to make you believe that you are not only not a nation, but that you are nobodies. Yet the real nobodies are those who do such things,” Saakashvili wrote.
