Teona Akubardia: "Dream" has taken the path of isolationism - They got angry with the EU for not inviting Bochorishvili to Luxembourg, yet they didn't attend Euronest - They cut off the possibility of dialogue themselves, because people like them can't get along with Europe

For a long time, "Georgian Dream" has been heading toward ending party politics and politics in general - they want to govern the country the way Soviet Georgia was governed, - former MP Teona Akubardia assesses the constitutional lawsuit by "Georgian Dream" regarding the banning of three opposition parties in this context.

As Akubardia stated on PalitraNews's program "Day's Newsroom," the banning process will inevitably be followed by small opposition parties, and only Ivanishvili's regime's systemic opposition will be allowed.

"Georgian Dream's" manipulative statements regarding the banning of parties in Moldova and Ukraine are not adequate to Georgia's reality. This is also evidenced by the fact that the parties banned in Moldova and Ukraine were unequivocally pro-Russian parties aiming actions against the sovereignty of Ukraine and Moldova. The case of Georgia is completely different, as it concerns the banning of pro-Western parties that received a mandate from the people even in the disputed elections. Moreover, it's not just about canceling three parties; small parties will also be canceled, which, as Shalva Papuashvili explained, if they grow stronger and approach the 5% barrier, will inevitably follow the banning process. Despite not daring at this stage to ban individual politicians, it was emphasized that if politicians from banned parties enter the electoral list of another party, that party will also face problems.

All this should remind our fellow citizens of the past associated with one-party elections in Soviet Georgia. Only Ivanishvili's regime's systemic opposition will be allowed," Akubardia stated.

According to Akubardia, "Georgian Dream" has no resources to get along with Europe. As she noted, government representatives avoid communication with Europeans, as evidenced by their refusal to use the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly platform held in Yerevan.

In Akubardia's opinion, "Georgian Dream" has openly taken the path of isolationism.

"They had the opportunity to go to this space and at least present their truth. This is an indicator of an openly isolationist policy. They got angry with the EU because Maka Bochorishvili was not invited to Luxembourg. They said the 'deep state' was involved. By not attending Euronest, they showed that in this case, Ivanishvili himself is the 'deep state' that went against the country's chosen course and cut off the possibility of talking to European diplomats himself. They have nothing to say anyway, because people like them can't get along with Europe.

"Georgian Dream's" isolationism is indicated when they insulted the visiting OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, called him 'akatsuki,' and fined him," Teona Akubardia stated.

The opposition politician also says that the Russian Federation is preparing to formalize the division of Georgia into three states, and its support in this is Ivanishvili's regime, which says that Georgia started the war.

"If you say that Georgia started the war, it means a non-aggressio
