"The years 2022-2024 were exceptionally difficult and heavy for our country. There was injustice, crude pressure, and crude actions directed against our country. There were direct calls and demands to get involved in war.

When the country is in such a state, under such immense pressure, injustice, and several attempts to organize a revolution - and when at such a time a person thinks about personal enrichment, this is fundamentally wrong - I don't want to use a harsher assessment!

In December 2023, when certain information was already known to us, Bidzina Ivanishvili returned to politics. He made specific statements and gave specific hints right in this building. One of the main hints was related precisely to corruption.

2024 was extremely difficult in various aspects - there was pressure, it was an election year. There were political problems facing the country. Under such conditions, it was difficult for us to take specific steps, but today everything is in order - parliamentary elections have been held, the country is calm, and we have the practical opportunity to take all necessary measures, including in the fight against corruption.
