This has nothing to do with retaliation. When you are a politician and you represent a specific party, you have to serve people, - this is how the Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, Kakha Kaladze, responds to the fact that the Prosecutor's Office has initiated criminal prosecution against opposition politicians, Mikheil Saakashvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Nika Gvaramia, Nika Melia, Zurab Japaridze, Elene Khoshtaria, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze.
With this, he answered the question of whether there is retaliation against opposition leaders in the light of the fact that the leaders of the ruling team were sanctioned.
"This has nothing to do with retaliation. A commission was created in parliament, specific political parties were identified that are not interested in the country, are not interested in the future, and are carrying out the tasks of another country. When you are a politician and you represent a specific party, you have to serve people.
It is very grave... When you represent our country and carry out political activities, of course, you must first protect the interests of your people and the country. When you are an agent, we can cite specific examples when the interests of various countries were taken into account while trampling the interests of our country. It is very grave, very grave," Kaladze noted.
