Lawyer of “Spero Invest” Director: Giorgi Murusidze does not admit guilt, but he does not intend to evade his obligations to citizens – he is actively working to ensure that compensation payments to victims are not delayed

Giorgi Murusidze does not intend to avoid the obligations he has toward citizens and will gradually satisfy the interests of each affected individual, – said Gagi Chokheli, the lawyer of Spero Invest director Giorgi Murusidze.

According to Chokheli, Murusidze does not agree with the charges brought against him. “This is a multi-volume case, so the defense has not yet fully reviewed all the case materials. However, my client does not intend to evade the obligations he has toward citizens. He will gradually compensate each victim.

Tomorrow, the prosecution will request a specific preventive measure from the court. Our position, of course, will be in favor of applying bail, because the defendants remaining free would help expedite the process and ensure that each victim receives their money in a timely manner.

I don’t know his exact location, but he is in contact with his relatives and is actively working to prevent delays in paying compensation to the victims.

He does not agree with the charges, but he does not shirk his responsibilities to the citizens and intends to compensate each affected individual,” – said lawyer Gagi Chokheli.

As a reminder, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, in the Spero Holding case investigated by the Anti-Fraud Department, Spero Holding founder Givi Tsuleiskiri has been arrested on charges of large-scale fraud committed by an organized group through abuse of office and deception, while criminal prosecution has been initiated against Spero Invest director Giorgi Murusidze.

The Prosecutor’s Office reports that the defendants’ actions caused financial damage to citizens amounting to 12 million GEL.
