Shalva Papuashvili: It has been proven that no World War I chemicals were used - will the European Commission spokesperson, MEPs, and hired NGOs, who swarmed the country like fleas, apologize?

“We can say with certainty that this is a hybrid operation against Georgia,” Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili told journalists regarding the BBC investigative report.

He stated that within two days it was confirmed that the information regarding the substance Camite was false.

“We can say with certainty that this is a hybrid operation against Georgia. This is indicated by the talking heads they produced again, dug out from mothballs to speak. Among them was Browder, who previously spoke about Mikheil Saakashvili’s alleged poisoning - after which he had been silent regarding Georgia - and suddenly became active again, seemingly interested in this topic. This shows that propagandists were deliberately deployed to frame this issue. This is clearly a continuation of a false propagandistic narrative, which in itself is a hybrid operation against Georgia. Brussels is involved in this. We saw statements from the European Commission spokesperson, which stand out for particularly hostile rhetoric towards Georgia and the Georgian people. We saw MEPs speaking about Camite.

Effectively, Georgia was swarmed with its own hired NGOs. Two days later it was confirmed that this was false - regarding Camite. Now I am asking: will the European Commission spokesperson, the MEPs, and these NGOs hired from outside for hostility against Georgia - who swarmed our country like fleas - apologize for claiming that a World War I-era chemical was used? Brussels and its hired NGOs should apologize.

The same people who spoke about Mikheil Saakashvili’s alleged chemical poisoning are today still clinging to this chemical, as if they were experts. These are the people, ambassadors and others from Brussels, who claimed that Saakashvili had been poisoned, had dementia - they spoke lies. Everything was proven false within two days: no World War I chemicals were used anywhere, nor purchased, and it seems such substances have not even been present on Georgian territory. Representatives from Brussels and their hired NGOs should come forward and apologize. Brussels must renounce these propagandistic actions against Georgia and the Georgian people,” Papuashvili said.
