Protest rally underway near Parliament

A continuous protest is underway on Rustaveli Avenue.

Citizens, representatives of various parties and activists have gathered near the Parliament.

It is worth noting that at today's rally, citizens are protesting the participation of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust held in Turkmenistan, which was also attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of other countries.

The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, is also present at the rally, who called on citizens to protest and take to the streets today.

It is also worth noting that new restrictions on gatherings and demonstrations came into effect today, which apply to rallies held on pedestrian paths.

It is not yet known whether the traditional march will take place today.
