I agree that it is difficult to commit such a crime alone - the investigation must establish everything, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists, answering a question about the case of the former head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili.
According to him, the investigation into the case is ongoing.
"The investigation takes its time, the investigation was conducted, the investigation has made preliminary findings and the investigation will continue. This is what I can tell you, the rest will be told by the investigation," - Kobakhidze said.
When asked why Liluashvili's case is "classified as secret", the Prime Minister replied that he had no information.
"I don't know, you should ask the agencies," - Kobakhidze said.
When asked about responsibility for corruption crimes, the Prime Minister replied that the main thing is that the government is now focused on preventing corruption today and tomorrow.
"At some point, a problem arose. I will not go into details. Because of this, in December 2023, Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili made a clear statement related to alleged corruption. Since then, we have been actively working and taking concrete measures to achieve the elimination of corruption. This is the history that accompanies these processes. The main thing for us, now we are focused on preventing corruption today and tomorrow. This is the main task. When you talk about the fact that there were some conversations in the past, I want to urge you, if you find out anything today and tomorrow, immediately raise your voice and contact us and we will respond. We are responsible for ensuring that today and tomorrow, no matter what question is asked, we will answer all your questions," Kobakhidze said.
