The Davos Economic Forum is a gathering of respectable people - no one in Davos will believe Kobakhidze that he has extraordinary economic growth, that he and Ivanishvili are magicians of world trade - this is how Tazo Datunashvili, the executive secretary of the Lelo-Strong Georgia party, responds to the non-invitation of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to the Davos Forum.

According to Datunashvili, “Kobakhidze may “swindle” someone in Abu Dhabi and tell lies, but no one in Davos will believe him that he has extraordinary economic growth.”

“Every year, the Davos Economic Forum is attended by people who had, or have the potential to have some influence on the world’s trade chain and economic process. People who cannot fully understand the multiplication table have no business there. Swindlers like Kobakhidze, who lie wherever they are, depending on the local conjuncture, are not invited to important events like Davos. Someone in Abu Dhabi may “swindle” someone, tell lies, and brazenly assert the opposite of what he calls propaganda here, but respectable gatherings like Davos are not open to such irresponsible swindlers as Irakli Kobakhidze is here.

No one will believe Kobakhidze in Davos that he has extraordinary economic growth, he and Bidzina Ivanishvili are the magicians of world trade and have taken Georgia to a new level.

Today, for the world economy Georgia represents a country that helps the enemy of world order, Russia, to evade sanctions, trades with Iran and, in satire, walks with terrorists and thugs in Iran. This is a government whose main economic achievement is the flourishing of fraudulent "call centers" on the territory of Georgia, which swindle pensioners in developed countries. A country whose main economic achievement is this, has nothing to do at the Davos Economic Forum," - Datunashvili said.

The Davos 2026 Economic Forum will be held on January 19-23. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will not attend the forum. According to the government administration, Kobakhidze has not received a corresponding invitation.

As a reminder, the Georgian delegation did not participate in the Davos Economic Forum last year either.
