The Government Coordination Commission, headed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, will work on the prices of food products, medicines and fuel, the decision was made at the first session of the commission, which was held today at the Government Administration.

According to the press service of the Government Administration reports, the members of the commission discussed the action plan for the coming weeks, including meetings with manufacturers, representatives of retail chains and distribution companies. The government commission will work in coordination with the relevant parliamentary commission and is expected to complete its work by the end of April.

"During the commission's work, the public will be provided with detailed information on the real cost of products, what the prices include, and where there are illogical price increases. The commission members hope that price reductions will begin during the work process.

The members of the Government Coordination Commission are the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, the Head of the State Security Service Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, and the Chairman of the Competition and Consumer Protection Agency Irakli Lekvinadze," reads the information.
