According to one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Elene Khoshtaria, the only topic that can be debated with the Georgian Dream is new elections.
With the corresponding statement, Elene Khoshtaria is echoing Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's statement regarding the return of public debates between political parties.
The statement, which is posted on Khoshtaria's Facebook page, states that in all other cases, participation in debates means recognizing the ruling party as a politically legitimate party, which is unacceptable for the opposition. According to her, the "line of non-recognition" should be drawn by the opposition, not by "propagandist swindlers."
Another fraudulent initiative of the Dream supposedly about debates is not worth commenting on at all, however, several responses from our side made me want to share my attitude.
The only issue that can be debated with Dream in any format, be it open, closed, critical or non-critical television, is the scheduling of new elections. In all other cases, even in the most noble ones, this would be their recognition as a more or less normal political party.
The line of non-recognition belongs to us, the opposition, and not to the propagandist swindlers. If the debate with the Russians brings even the most minimal results, then it is unclear why we did not enter the parliament. Until the end! Elene Khoshtaria, Rustavi women's prison," reads Khoshtaria's letter.
