Georgian Dream is trying to return Georgia to the full political rule of Russia and abolish the country’s sovereignty, Salome Samadashvili, one of the leaders of Strong Georgia-Lelo, told journalists, responding to the post written by the Speaker of Parliament in memory of the cadets.

According to Salome Samadashvili, Shalva Papuashvili’s statement about the cadets is cynical, mocking Georgian citizens and insulting the memory of the cadets. According to her, Georgian Dream is currently governing Georgia on Russia’s instructions.

"This regime is ruling the country on Russia's instructions, to fulfill Russia's agenda, and is, in fact, the spiritual heir of the very people who destroyed Georgia in the 1920s. They share the sentiment that Georgia should not continue to live as an independent, sovereign, European democratic state, just like the murderers of Maro Makashvili thought. It is clear that these people will never evaluate history correctly because they themselves are on the wrong side of history today," said Salome Samadashvili.
