A verbal confrontation occurred between protesters and law enforcement officers during a protest rally on Rustaveli Avenue.

The confrontation began after the police did not allow the protesters to move by pickup truck.

According to the head of the Patrol Police Department, Goga Memanishvili, the organizers of the march did not indicate the movement by pickup truck in their permit.

In addition, Memanishvili called on the organizers to hold the protest rally in one lane of the road.

The rally is currently ongoing. The participants are being followed by a police cordon.
