The Embassy of Georgia in Israel is providing information regarding border crossings for Georgian citizens wishing to leave the country.

According to the information, those wishing to leave the country can leave the State of Israel by land - via Egypt or Jordan.

“For the attention of Georgian citizens, please read the recommendations of the State of Israel:

Due to the current situation in the country, Israeli airspace is currently closed.

Those wishing to leave the country can leave the State of Israel by land - via Egypt or Jordan.

In the case of Egypt

A citizen can cross the Menachem Begin - Taba border crossing - a 24/7 operating land border crossing located near Eilat.

The border crossing can be reached by car and/or bus/train

A visa and a permit to travel within the country are required to enter Egypt, which can be obtained at the Egyptian border:

A visa sticker costs $25

A permit to travel within the country costs $21

From the border Taxi/minibus to Sharm El Sheikh - travel time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

From Sharm El Sheikh, it is possible to fly to Georgia/there are direct flights.

In the case of Jordan:

Yitzhak Rabin Crossing is open for passengers from 08:00 to 20:00, and for cars until 19:00. If necessary, it will switch to 24/7 mode.

When leaving Israel, a citizen pays an exit fee of 122 shekels. To avoid waiting in queue, it is recommended to pay the fee in advance payment.

A visa is required to enter Jordan, which can be obtained at the Jordanian border. The cost of a visa is approximately 70 USD.

The journey from the Yitzhak Rabin Crossing to Amman takes approximately 4 hours.
