Ani Nadareishvili: Bacho Akhalaia's trial is closed, so we demand that his words still be made public - he has a lot to say

The trial is closed, so we demand that his [Bacho Akhalaia's] words still be made public — he has a lot to say, because the country is in a miserable state, occupied by the Russians, — this was stated by Ani Nadareishvili, the wife of former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia.

According to her, Bacho Akhalaia's case has nothing to do with a criminal case.

As Nadareishvili notes, there is not a single victim, not a single witness, and not a single piece of evidence in the case.

"As far as I know, today he should deliver his opening statement. The trial is closed, so we demand that his words still be made public. He has a lot to say, because the country is in a miserable state, occupied by the Russians. This country needs to be saved. People are fighting for this and ending up in prison for it. As for the trial — this is not a trial. In these halls, unfortunately, political decisions have long been formalized for a long time. We demand that [the trial] be open, because what is happening has nothing to do with a criminal case. There is not a single victim, not a single witness, not a single piece of evidence in the case," — stated Nadareishvili.

For information: Bacho Akhalaia has been charged in the October 4 case under Article 225, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia — organizing and leading group violence, punishable by up to 9 years of imprisonment.
