High-level delegation of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to visit Georgia

A high-level delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will visit Georgia, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly press service reports.

The delegation will visit Georgia on March 8-10 and will be led by the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro.

The delegation also includes: Luís Graça (Portugal) – Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly & Special Representative on South Caucasus, Jevrosima Pejović (Montenegro) – Vice-Chair, Committee on Political Affairs and Security, Baroness Christine Blower (United Kingdom) – Vice Chair, Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions, Roberto Montella – Secretary General (OSCE PA).

According to the press release, during their visit to Georgia, the delegation will meet with a wide range of political actors and civil society representatives.

“The visit will provide an opportunity for members of the OSCE PA to engage and exchange views with Georgian interlocutors on recent political developments and issues related to democracy, security and regional stability.

The parliamentarians will meet with a wide range of political actors and representatives from civil society, to discuss the OSCE PA’s continued engagement with Georgia,” reads the press release.
