Opposition Alliance - Our goal is to actively cooperate with civil groups, both to expand the protest and to convince more citizens that change is in their vital interest

The Opposition Alliance has released a statement regarding the meeting ongoing with civil society representatives and protest groups.

According to them, at the meeting, the Opposition Alliance will present the agreement reached between the opposition parties and a common strategy for victory.

As stated in the statement released by the Opposition Alliance, the goal is to actively cooperate with civil society groups both to expand the protest and to convince more citizens that change is in their vital interest.

“We believe that close cooperation between the democratic opposition and civil society will be crucial to defeating Bidzina Ivanishvili’s criminal, autocratic regime and ensuring the country’s democratic future.

That is why our goal is to actively cooperate with civil groups, both to expand the protest and to convince more citizens that change is in their vital interest.

This week, the Opposition Alliance agreed on a common strategy for victory and joint rules of action.

We agree that Ivanishvili’s oligarchic and autocratic regime can only be defeated in the presence of a strong democratic alternative that serves the interests of citizens.

The goal of the Opposition Alliance is to create a broad political and public consensus to change this regime, so that the Georgian people can regain their stolen state through free, fair elections,” reads the statement.
