Today, an additional special flight from Muscat to Tbilisi was operated, which completed the return to the homeland of those Georgian citizens whose departure the relevant airlines could not timely ensure, — this is stated in the information disseminated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
According to the agency, more than 600 Georgian citizens who applied to the relevant Georgian embassies with a request to use special flights organized by the Government of Georgia safely returned home via special flights operated from Muscat (Sultanate of Oman) and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
“Taking into account the travel disruptions caused by the closure of airspace in a number of countries due to the situation in the Middle East region, the Government of Georgia organized four special flights,” — the information states.
