Within the framework of the investigation launched by the State Security Service (SSS), Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze has also been summoned for questioning.

As the State Security Service told InterPressNews, Kapanadze has been summoned to the agency at 16:00.

In the same case, former Minister of Defense Tina Khidasheli, opposition politician Gubaz Sanikidze, and Giorgi Kandelaki, a member of the “Soviet Past Research Laboratory,” have already been questioned before a magistrate judge.

For information: Givi Targamadze, Tina Khidasheli, Gubaz Sanikidze, and Giorgi Kandelaki were summoned within the framework of an ongoing investigation under Article 319 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which pertains to assistance to a foreign country, a foreign organization, or an organization subordinated to foreign control in hostile activities.
