State Security Service - 30 people have been arrested and charged in connection with corruption crimes revealed in 12 different criminal cases

As a result of a large-scale anti-corruption operation conducted by employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service in various regions of Georgia, 30 people have been arrested and charged with corruption crimes revealed in 12 different criminal cases.

Emzar Gagnidze, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service, made the above statement at the briefing held at the agency.

According to him, the detainees include a member of the Akhmeta Municipality Council, an employee of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two specialists of the Martvili Municipality City Hall, representatives of various municipal halls, former Chairman of the Senaki Municipality Council, and others.

"The Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service will continue to work to detect and prevent all types of corruption crimes until we achieve the stated goal of the Georgian state - Georgia to be one of the leading countries in the world with a low level of corruption," said Emzar Gagnidze.
