There will be no “Charles Michel 2”, - Nika Gvaramia, the leader of the Coalition for Change, told journalists after a meeting with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation.
According to him, information was exchanged about what is happening in the country.
“For example: we told them that a criminal case might be initiated against us for talking to them, for the exchange of information with them. This is not fortune-telling and just an opinion, we have such criminal cases against. Therefore, it is simply impossible to seriously talk about the possibility of any type of negotiation format with the Georgian Dream. It is impossible until they annul the laws they adopted for staying in power forever, without any reservations
When we have friends in prison, and not only personal and political friends, but also a lot of people who are considered political prisoners by me, what right do we have to talk to anyone about anything, or who has the right to call us to do this? There were no calls. We emphatically say during all such meetings that there will be no "Charles Michel 2" and there will be only clear negotiations on the fate of the country. Whoever wants to talk about this, yes, sir. But as long as we have political prisoners, we have beaten, poisoned people and no one has been punished, it is impossible to even talk about it,” Gvaramia said.
In addition, he also spoke about the Opposition Alliance. When asked whether the Alliance would consider uniting under one party and one logo, Gvaramia replied, “No!”
“It is not being considered! If someone has this opinion and, accordingly, a desire, that is another matter,” he said.
Another issue that Gvaramia spoke about is the presence of people in the Alliance who have had disagreements with each other in the past.
"Not everything is acceptable, but if we are talking about the possibility of talking to Bidzina Ivanishvili to decide the fate of the country, about some kind of guarantees for him, etc., even this may be acceptable. I have not tried to prove anything to anyone. I never prove who I am not, I always talk about who I am," Gvaramia said.
