The anti-American Georgian Dream party is scared to death that Americans will learn that it is in cahoots with the Iranian regime, - US Congressman Joe Wilson (Republican Party) writes on social media.

The US Congressman responds to and shares on X the statement of the President and CEO of the Hudson Institute regarding the launch of an investigation by the Georgian State Security Service following the Hudson Institute’s report on Iran’s growing influence in Georgia, co-authored by Luke Coffey and Giorgi Kandelaki.

“The anti-American Georgian Dream party is scared to death that Americans will learn that it is in cahoots with the Iranian regime, so they are doing everything they can to silence experts highlighting this fact. To defeat Iran, defeat GD”, the Congressman writes.

For information, opposition politicians Givi Targamadze, Gubaz Sanikidze, as well as former Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli and member of the “Laboratory for the Study of the Soviet Past” Giorgi Kandelaki were summoned for questioning as part of the investigation launched by the State Security Service.

The investigators had questions for those summoned for questioning about public statements they had made regarding "the increase in Iranian influence in Georgia."
