It is good that representatives of international organizations have recognized and emphasized the truth that neither any person united in the collective National Movement, nor any person affiliated with them, nor their patrons want to recognize, - Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues, told journalists when assessing the statement of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation.
According to him, the statements related to the laws and the detainees are statements directed at the collective National Movement, and not at the Georgian Dream.
“It is good that representatives of international organizations have recognized and emphasized the truth that neither any person united in the collective National Movement, nor any person affiliated with them, nor their patrons want to recognize, as well as the truth that violent rallies were held in our country in order to overthrow the elected government. An attack and assault on the will of the Georgian people, on democratically held elections, is still underway. This is also expressed in the undermining of democracy by the collective National Movement.
As for the laws and the detainees, these are also statements directed precisely at the collective National Movement, and not at us. We need legislation to protect the sovereignty of the country, including from those people who transfer money and give orders from outside, so that they can then carry out violent rallies and attempts to overthrow the country in our country. On the other hand, people who commit crimes and then abandon these people are abandoned. Whoever they are, the National Movement will always abandon them, because a person is of no value to them and is only one of the means to achieve their own goals, which is categorically unacceptable.
In our country, there is a fair court, there is also the Strasbourg Court, and everyone can protect their rights in a legal context.
At the same time, we see politically engaged statements, which have been numerous in the past and are still present, but all such statements have always been defeated in the Strasbourg Court,” Gorduladze said.
