Nacho Sánchez Amor - In the European Parliament, Armenia's Prime Minister called Georgia's accession to the European Union an important step, while they have abandoned their European perspectives, which has led to negative consequences both inside the country and outside it

There is a long list of journalists, politicians, and members of civil society in Georgia who have become victims of legal persecution, - stated European Parliament member Nacho Sánchez Amor during his speech in the European Parliament.

According to him, Georgia has abandoned its European perspectives, which has caused negative consequences both inside the country and beyond its borders.

"Here, Armenia's Prime Minister called Georgia's accession to the European Union an important step. They, however, have abandoned their European perspectives, which has led to negative consequences both within the country and outside it. There is a long list of journalists, politicians, and members of civil society who have become victims of legal persecution. We mentioned Elene Khoshtaria here, but along with her, numerous representatives of various democratic groups are in prison, who have raised their voices in favor of democracy," - stated Nacho Sánchez Amor.
