This is the most severe conclusion [from the report prepared under the OSCE's "Moscow Mechanism"], which details Georgia's autocracy - I would say the "Kotsi" attempts and efforts to turn it into a dictatorship - stated Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of "Lelo - Strong Georgia."
According to the opposition politician's assessment, the document points to the abuse of power and such legislative changes that, in his view, facilitate the consolidation of power by the authorities.
"Here, electoral violations and the hijacking of the state are discussed in detail. There is also a clear call regarding the investigation of the 2024 elections. The document describes politically motivated persecution against politicians and attempts to abolish parties. The 'Kotsi' special operation to kill politics and pluralism. It speaks of the criminal use of power. Clearly, all those laws are analyzed in detail through which the 'Georgian Dream' regime is forming a dictatorship and through which anti-European, anti-Georgian, anti-human political practices are being carried out, whose goal is to distance Georgia from the civilized international community and bring Georgia closer to such types of regimes as the favorites of the 'Kots' - Iran, China, and Russia.
This conclusion is the final verdict on 'Georgian Dream's' international reputation as builders of a dictatorship, and it directly states that under this political course, there does not exist - and cannot exist - a free and strong Georgian state that could have any kind of Euro-Atlantic future.
Accordingly, this document says that the 'Kotsi' regime is an anti-Georgian regime, which does everything possible to prevent the fulfillment of the important political course enshrined in the Constitution and to turn Georgia into a corrupt Russian-style autocracy," Gegelia stated.
