We regret that what is happening in Georgia is bringing the country closer to the Putin regime and taking it further away from the European Union, - Latvian Deputy Foreign Minister Artomas Ursulskis told Euroscope.
According to him, what is happening in Georgia is quite worrying.
“Latvia has always been a very strong partner for the democratic forces in Georgia. In recent months, we have made several decisions to support the democratic movement in Georgia. Unfortunately, this is not enough. We regret that what is happening in Georgia is bringing the country closer to the Putin regime and taking it further away from the European Union. But we are ready to support the democratic side in Georgia and if there are ways in which we can promote the country’s rapprochement with the European Union, we are ready to use them,” the Latvian Deputy Foreign Minister noted.
