A continuous stream of citizens is arriving at Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi to pay their last respects to the Patriarch.

The cathedral’s courtyard and nearby streets remained crowded all night, with hundreds of people standing in line until morning.

For context, Ilia II passed away on March 17 at the age of 93. A period of national mourning has been declared in Georgia, and he will be buried on March 22 at Sioni Cathedral.
