A civil funeral service continues at the Trinity Patriarchate Cathedral to pay tribute to Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, Ilia II was laid to rest at the Trinity Cathedral on March 18.

According to the Patriarchate, the Trinity Patriarchate Cathedral will be open 24 hours a day to pay tribute to Ilia II.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, has died at the age of 93. Mourning has been declared in Georgia in connection with the death of Ilia II. The Patriarch will be buried on Sunday, March 22, at the Sioni Cathedral.
