Giga Parulava, an MP from the party "Gakharia for Georgia", commented to journalists on the report published by the UK Parliament’s House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee.

According to him, this situation is the result of “Georgian Dream’s harmful, anti-democratic, and incompetent policies.”

Accordingly, today we saw the UK’s decision, and in the coming days, there will likely be other international assessments. What is happening is damaging to the country’s interests and certainly not positive for Georgia.

Therefore, ‘Georgian Dream’ must have the wisdom to decide once and for all and begin implementing at least the most serious recommendations and assessments from the OSCE ‘Moscow Mechanism’ report, together with our strategic partner countries,” Parulava said.

For context, the UK Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons has published a report titled “Diplomacy of Disinformation: How Malign Actors Undermine Democracy,” which calls on the government to impose new sanctions on officials of Georgian Dream, as well as on Georgian kleptocrats and media organizations that spread disinformation.
