Gia Volski - It is impossible to remove anyone by any means, especially from the side of Bishop Shio, who is a decent person - they portray possible differences of opinion as if it were ugliness

It is impossible to remove anyone by any method, especially from the side of Bishop Shio, who is a decent person, and all bishops who are members of the Holy Synod are characterized similar qualities, - the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, stated when answering a journalist's question about the fact that "according to the opposition and activists, Bishop Shio intended to remove competitors."

As Gia Volski noted, there is no mechanism in the church to remove competitors.

“There is no mechanism for removing competitors in the church election system. We know the names of several people who have left the church, who have cursed the church and the Patriarch of Georgia with harsh words, but they have not achieved this goal. It is impossible to eliminate anyone by any method, especially by Bishop Shio, who is a decent person, and all bishops who are part of the Holy Synod are characterized by similar qualities. We are confident that they will find the strength to continue the tradition of serving the country that the Patriarch left. This is our vision regarding this issue,” said Gia Volski.

According to his assessment, some people continue to cast a shadow on the church.

"Bringing up any topic, as if there is tension inside, a difference of opinion, certainly does not serve the reality of saying that there can really be a difference of opinion on issues - they portray these possible differences of opinion as if this is the ugliness that they have been talking about for so long in relation to the Church. In other words, the path continues, smearing the Church, casting a shadow, cursing it, this is a topic that has somewhat increased today, in such a massive attack that was formed before the elections and is being carried out before our eyes.

I repeat, the intellect, the attitude towards one's country, as well as towards the ideas of the Patriarch on the part of the bishops, give us reason to hope that this path will continue, that the Synod will once again and many times serve its country in the future. Therefore, any attack on the Church can be assessed as dirty and I am sure that an appropriate response will be given to this when a new Patriarch is elected," Gia Volski said.
