A new ordinary visa of the C5 category may be introduced in Georgia. Relevant amendments are being made to the Law “On the Legal Status of Aliens and Stateless Persons” and will be considered by the Parliament in an expedited manner.
According to the draft, a multiple-entry short-term visa of this category will be issued for a 5-year validity period and a 1-year stay in Georgia.
An ordinary visa of the C5 category will be issued to a person coming to Georgia for short-term purposes, who enters the territory of Georgia for tourist purposes and who has the right to carry out activities only for the benefit of a non-resident person if it is related to the non-resident person’s activities outside Georgia. A visa of this category will also be issued to the person’s spouse and minor children.
The draft law was prepared by the deputies of the “Georgian Dream” party and has already been initiated in the Parliament.
