Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and members of the Cabinet of Ministers visited the April 9 Memorial.

Their appearance was met with shouts from the protest participants: “Russians!”, “Sellers of the country!”, “Slaves!”

The government representatives laid wreaths at the memorial and then left the area.

Earlier, law enforcement officers arrived at the April 9 Memorial and positioned themselves around it.

The law enforcement officers called on citizens to clear the area around the memorial, which provoked irritation among the protest participants.
