The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze, held a meeting in Tbilisi with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O’Flaherty, who is on an official visit. The information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the ministry, during the meeting, Geka Geladze provided the Commissioner with detailed information about the Ministry’s activities and priority directions, as well as ongoing and implemented reforms.
“The parties also discussed the human rights situation in Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, the sides also reviewed future cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Council of Europe,” the statement reads.
